Dallas' Mission
During the last few years of his life Dallas became more aware and responsive to those in need. He developed his views based on Christ's teachings and God's loving spirit in his heart. He saw his efforts as that of a missionary ministering to all aspects of those in need to make the world a much better place.
God's Love
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

God's Care and Concern
"What is the price of five sparrows—two copper coins? Yet God does not forget a single one of them.
And the very hairs on your head are all numbered.
So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.
The Holy Bible- Book of Luke: Chapter 12, Verses 6-7 (New Living Translation)
Dallas was moved by the suffering of children in Haiti after the devastaing 2010 earthquake that made thousands of children orphans. He was a contributor to Love a Child, Inc., a christian children's relief charity, until his death in 2012. This is now carried on by his family as a memorial to Dallas' generous
heart and his care for others. Click on the banner above to learn more about Love a Child, Inc.
Dallas would speak on occasions to a close friend about ways to help the needy and homeless in our area. Dallas didn't always have a lot of cash, but when he did, he would often give some to a homeless person he would see along the road. The short documentary video above explores the homeless situation in downtown Fort Walton Beach which was a concern for him. In the video a homeless gentleman named Joe is first to speak. He explains some of his life before being homeless and what he does to survive. Sadly, soon after this video was made Joe died due to exposure to the cold while resting on a bench at Fort Walton Landing.

God's Missionary
And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
The Holy Bible- Book of Matthew: Chapter 4, Verse 19 (King James Version, Cambridge)
Above is a picture of the last piece of jewelry Dallas ordered for himself. It's an "Fishers of Men" ring. It speaks to where Dallas' heart and mind were near the time of his death. He wanted to follow Jesus and become a fisher of men leading others to the love of God he was experiencing in his own life.
